A traditional gas fireplace, by our definition, is one that:
Provides a moderate to high amount of heat
Operates at a better than average efficiency [and may even qualify for a "energy rebate" from a local utility]
Is feature rich [i.e. blowers, accent lights, pilot light on demand, battery back-up, remote control] or has a cornucopia of options.
Was designed to be aesthetically pleasing; the manufacturer was cognoscente of the fit and finish.
The traditional fireplace is for the consumer who wants a better product than what may have come standard with their home. The same consumer is looking for quality, value, and efficiency. The traditional fireplace can easily be the aesthetic focal point of a remodel or a new construction project; anchoring the room in tradition and many cozy nights to come.
